How do I clip digital coupons for Food Lion?

Download the Food Lion app or visit foodlion.com, log into your registered MVP account, navigate to the 'Coupons' tab, and click 'Clip' on any offer. The coupon links directly to your MVP barcode.

Do digital coupons deduct automatically at checkout?

Yes. When the cashier scans your physical MVP card or you type your registered 10-digit phone number on the pin pad, all clipped qualifying coupons automatically apply to eligible items.

Can you use paper coupons and digital coupons on the same item?

Under Food Lion's official coupon policy, you cannot combine a digital manufacturer coupon with a paper manufacturer coupon on the exact same individual item. However, you can combine a manufacturer coupon with a Food Lion store coupon.

Food Lion Digital Coupons – Clipping & Savings Guide

Food Lion has modernized grocery savings through its MVP Digital Coupon platform. Learn how to browse hundreds of manufacturer offers, clip discounts with a single tap, and redeem them effortlessly at checkout.

The 3-Step Walkthrough to Using MVP Digital Coupons

Physical paper coupons are no longer mandatory to secure major supermarket discounts. Food Lion’s digital platform provides access to over $100 in weekly manufacturer and store discounts directly on your smartphone.

Step 1: Set Up & Link Your MVP Card

Visit foodlion.com or install the Food Lion Mobile App. If you already have a physical yellow plastic MVP card or key tag, link its 12-digit barcode number to your profile. If you are a new customer, sign up with your email and phone number—your phone number immediately acts as your virtual card.

Step 2: Browse & Clip Offers Before Shopping

Before stepping into the store or while walking down the aisles, open the Coupons tab in the app. Filter offers by department (Produce, Meat, Dairy, Frozen, Snacks, Household) or search for specific brand names on your shopping list. Click the Clip button on each offer you intend to buy.

Step 3: Scan or Enter Phone Number at the Register

During checkout, present your MVP card barcode to be scanned, or type your 10-digit phone number on the payment keypad. As each qualifying item is scanned by the cashier, your clipped digital coupon automatically deducts its discount, verified on your receipt.

💡 Why Did My Digital Coupon Not Deduct? (Troubleshooting Checklist)

Exact Size/Flavor Mismatch: Manufacturer digital coupons are often strictly tied to specific ounce weights or varieties (e.g. 12 oz box only, excluding family sizes).
Phone Number Typo: Verify that the phone number entered at the pin pad matches the primary phone number listed on your digital account profile.
Expiration Date Passed: Digital coupons feature distinct expiration timestamps independent of the weekly ad flyer cycle.
